44th Annual 'Bicycle Sundays' Set To Roll
The Bronx River Parkway will be closed to cars between the County Center and Scarsdale Road in Yonkers.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The 44th annual Bicycle Sundays program will be kicked off with a ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, May 6 at the Westchester County Center. During the event, bicyclists, skaters, joggers and walkers will take over 6.5 miles of the Bronx River Parkway.
Organizers said Bicycle Sundays has been running continuously since 1974.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays in May, June and September (except for holiday weekends), the Bronx River Parkway will be closed to cars between the County Center and Scarsdale Road in Yonkers — a round trip of 13 miles.

The program is sponsored by the Westchester Parks Foundationi and Westchester County Parks Department, along with Con Edison and New York Presbyterian, WHUD and Danny’s Cycles providing additional support.
At the opening ceremony will be County Executive George Latimer, along with other county officials.
