Update: 57-Year-Old Pedestrian ID'd from Fatal Accident in Valhalla

Mount Vernon resident Herbert Wesley, 57, has been identified as the victim of the fatal accident Monday on Grasslands Road in Valhalla, reports The Journal News.
Herbert, who was walking along the road, was struck and killed by an SUV at about 7 p.m. The driver of the SUV was not identified by police and is not facing charges.

Mount Pleasant police already were responding to the area on a report that a man who appeared to be intoxicated was walking in the road, when they received another call that a man had been struck.
Original story: A 57-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a car Monday night on Grasslands Road in Valhalla, according to Mount Pleasant police.

The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was struck at about 7 p.m., reports News 12.
Police said the driver of the car called in the accident immediately. No other injuries were reported, and the crash remains under investigation.
