A Guide To Help You Enjoy a Westchester "STAY-CATION"

Westchester County has parks, hiking & biking trails, kayaks for rent, parks and many knowledgeable people who are willing to teach and help you to enjoy a Westchester "Stay-cation".  Westchester county residents may not realize the resources that are on their front step, so here's a small sample of some local activities (and websites) to help you enjoy your stay-cation in Westchester this summer:

Cycle Westchester:  If you're looking to ride with children, a cyclist friend recommends the "North and South County Trailway". With scenic paths, this trail network is ideal for family riding. These Westchester trails are part of a rails-to-trails project that will eventually connect the Bronx to Putnam County via a scenic car-free bike path through Westchester County. More than 40 miles have already been completed & are ready for riding.

Explore Croton Damn - Croton Gorge Park is a very natural and scenic spot to have a relaxing picnic.  Bring your own food and drinks and enjoy the scenery.  Take your dog, but they must be on a leash.
