Chicago - May 4, 2026- Taking the stage to applause at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chicago, Broadview at Purchase College Executive Director Ashley Wade was honored as a Veteran VIP at The McKnight’s Women of Distinction Awards.
Wade joined 61 senior living, skilled nursing, and home care professionals honored for their outstanding contributions to the industry. The Veteran VIP category honors women who have more than 15 years of experience and have made an impact on the senior living, skilled nursing or home care fields. Wade was selected to receive the honor by a panel of national judges who reviewed hundreds of applications.
“It was an honor to be included among so many accomplished women who have given so much to the industry,’’ said Wade. “My tenure at Broadview at Purchase College has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career in senior living, and this honor caps a wonderful run.’’
Wade has been the executive director at Broadview at Purchase College since before it opened in 2023, and helped to launch the unique senior living community on the campus of Purchase College. She has 25 years of senior living experience, with communities throughout the Midwest. Before coming to Broadview, she served as the Executive Director of Sycamore Creek Senior Living, Spectrum Retirement Communities in Pickerington, OH, and held positions in marketing and sales at a number of other senior communities. Wade holds a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science, from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. She is a trained provider through the SAGE Care program, a cultural competency training program organized by SAGE.
The McKnight’s Women of Distinction Awards and Forum program is a joint effort of McKnight’s Senior Living and sister media brands McKnight’s Long-Term Care News and McKnight’s Home Care.
