WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Hudson Valley drivers should expect weekend traffic headaches on Interstate 287.
The roadwork will be ongoing at the Bronx River Parkway over four weekends from mid-May through late June, according to the New York State Department of Transportation. The state said the work area will be reduced to two lanes from 7 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday.
The scheduled eastbound lane reductions are set for Friday, May 15, through Monday, May 18; and Friday, May 29, through Monday, June 1.
The scheduled westbound lane reductions are planned for Friday, June 5, through Monday, June 8; and Friday, June 19, through Monday, June 22.
The transportation department said drivers should expect delays and plan for changed traffic patterns during those periods. The lane reductions are needed to facilitate road work, according to the agency,
