Reid Castle: An Iconic Venue Rooted in History

Designed by the renowned architect Stanford White, Reid Castle's history of hosting events began with the marriage of New York Tribune owner Whitelaw Reid and his wife, Elizabeth. In 1888, the pair envisioned transforming their country home into the legendary architectural and landscaping landmark it remains today. Reid Castle features a marbled reception hall and grand rooms inspired by French châteaux, evoking the timeless sophistication of the Gilded Age. Surrounding the castle are grounds designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the mastermind behind New York City's Central Park.
