Advertising Club of Westchester Announces Big W 2011 Award Winners

The Big W awards for Bronze, Silver and Gold will be presented at the ACW Big W Awards Gala & Banquet on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill, Tarrytown NY.  The Gala Preview and Cocktails start at 6pm, followed by the Banquet and Awards Ceremony from 7 – 9:30pm.  Winners of the award include:

The Big W awards rewards excellence in creative and technical achievement in advertising, marketing and promotion as determined by a panel of distinguished judges. The Norman Liss Award for Public Service is presented annually to the most outstanding entry in the public service categories. The Best of Show Award is presented to the most outstanding entry in all categories. The People’s Choice Award is voted by peers during the gala. Winning entries will be on display for the attendees’ enjoyment. A silent auction will benefit a scholarship fund that ACW offers local students of Communications.

"The Big W gala is a celebration of the best creative work produced throughout the last year by the industry in our area," said Rodica Ceslov, President of the Advertising Club of Westchester. "The Big W Awards are regarded as the highest honor for professionals in advertising, marketing, public relations and other creative industries. As the host of the Big W competition, this is a very exciting year as we are celebrating its 40th anniversary."

The menu by Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill includes: imported cheese, sirloin patty melts, tomato basil pies, lobster shepherd’s pie, smoke salmon croquet monsieur, shrimp cocktail, tapas samplers, zucchini fritters, seared tuna, truffle chicken, chocolate coconut duo, and more.
