
Athletes from all around the Hudson Valley region and beyond will descend upon the Westchester Medical Center campus on Sunday, preparing to take on the ultimate athletic challenge, a true test of physical ability—The Second Annual Evan Lieberman Westchester Medical Center Trauma Run.
The event is a grueling test of physical fitness, agility, strength and determination coupled with lots of fun!
The "Spartan" inspired race, a 3-mile foot race peppered with exciting and challenging, physical obstacles similar to those found on the proving grounds of the United States Marine Corps., Special Forces and Navy SEALS which can include 4’ or 8’ hurdles, cargo net climb, mud pit and dark tunnel crawls, water cannons and other physical elements which will push each participant to the limits of their own comfort zones, both physically and mentally.

This course will demand every ounce of your strength and challenge your resilience and your ingenuity as you confront and overcome the ordeal put before you individually, or as a team.
Proceeds from the Evan Lieberman Westchester Medical Center Trauma Run will benefit the Trauma Center at Westchester Medical Center—the only Level One Trauma Center in the Hudson Valley region. The Trauma Run is being organized by Genesis Adventures and is based on the very popular Spartan Race, an international racing adventure competition which combines the elements of running with several different types of cardiovascular workouts, physical activities and fetes of endurance.
