When New York Life opened its doors in Manhattan in 1845, Westchester County had around 60,000 residents – certainly enough to attract enterprising salesmen to the neighboring county. According to the 2010 Census, Westchester County now has a population of 949,113 — representing not just a great business opportunity, but an opportunity to provide financial protection and peace of mind to a large community.
The new Westchester General Office is located at 777 Westchester Avenue in the heart of Westchester County in White Plains, N.Y., and directly off I-287 – the only highway that crosses the county.
New Location Meets Office’s Expanding Needs
“Our new office puts us in a very accessible, central location from which we can easily reach out to people in this county and beyond,” said Managing Partner Darin Fass at the May 22nd ribbon-cutting ceremony. “Today, we have thousands of clients in Westchester and thousands more with whom we would like to do business.” With 25,000 square feet, the new Westchester Office has enough space to meet the needs of the office’s staff and management team of 15, as well as about 100 sales people. It’s also enough to meet future needs, as Fass hopes to continue the Office’s growth and double the number of people by 2016.

Company Ready to Meet Needs of Communities
The Company’s continued success in today’s tough economic environment proves that we are ready to meet the needs of Westchester and other communities across the country. As Westchester resident, guest speaker, and Chairman and CEO Ted Mathas noted:
“People want security and that’s exactly what we can provide. People want to work with a company they know can back up its promises, and New York Life is one of the few companies today that continues to enjoy the highest ratings for financial strength currently awarded to any life insurer from all of the major ratings agencies. We’re the largest mutual life insurance company in America — something we’re very proud of, because as a mutual company we have one constituency that we focus on: our policyholders. And we are growing. Since 2007, we’ve expanded 50 locations just like this one around the country, and we’ve grown the number of Agents we have by over 17%.”
