Annual Veteran's Day Ceremony Scheduled For White Plains
The city has created an assemblage of American flags along Main Street to honor veterans past and present.
WHITE PLAINS, NY — The City of White Plains will pay tribute to veterans at its annual Veteran’s Day Ceremony, Saturday, Nov. 11. The ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. on the steps of City Hall.
The event is organized by Mayor Thomas Roach’s Veterans Committee and will feature recollections and insights by a keynote speaker.
This year’s honoree is U.S. Navy veteran Peter Stone, who served in Vietnam.

As an additional tribute to the city’s veterans past and present, White Plains has created an assemblage of American flags along Main Street. Flags representing each branch of the Armed Forces will also be on display at City Hall.
Light refreshments and beverages will be served inside City Hall immediately following the ceremony compliments of ShopRite of White Plains and the Veteran’s Committee.

White Plains City Hall is located at 255 Main St. Parking is available on the street and in the City Center and Hamilton-Main parking garages.
