Annual WCC President's Forum to Dissect Recent Election

The panel will include Maureen Dowd of the New York Times.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — With the 2016 General Election behind us, what better time for Westchester Community College’s annual President’s Forum event.

This year, the forum, called “The Road Ahead: United or Divided,” will be held Sunday, Nov. 20 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the college’s Academic Arts Theatre on the Valhalla campus.

Organizers said the panel will evaluate the completed campaign and discuss challenges facing the new president and new members of Congress.

The panelists will be Maureen Dowd, Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times columnist; Ruth Marcus, editorial board and op-ed columnist for the Washington Post; Jason Riley, Wall Street Journal editorial board member, and Bret Stephens, deputy editorial page editor at the Wall Street Journal.

The moderator for the panel discussion will be Lester Crystal, longtime executive producer of the PBS NewsHour and former president of MacNeil Lehrer Productions.

The President’s Forum is a fundraising event for student scholarships and faculty and institutional development.
