Arrest Made After Off-Duty Cops See Man Strike Woman With A Gun: PD
Two off-duty police officers who saw the altercation, drew their weapons and ordered the man to drop his weapon.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — An arrest has been made in connection with a violent incident in a busy White Plains retail area.
On Sunday, shortly after 6 p.m., the White Plains Police Department received several calls reporting a fight and a man with a gun in the Waller Avenue Parking Lot. The parking lot is located in the rear of several restaurants along Mamaroneck Avenue.
Police said details of the initial altercation are still being investigated, but a man, later identified as Tony Montague, struck a woman with a handgun. Officials said the firearm was licensed and lawfully possessed.

Two off-duty police officers who saw the altercation, drew their weapons and ordered Montague to drop his weapon. Uniformed officers responded and recovered the handgun and everyone involved in the fight was detained.
Montague was charged with criminal possession of a weapon second degree, reckless endangerment and attempted assault.
