Astorino's Office Receives Subpoenas in Probe of Campaign Finances

A prominent political donor is assisting the U.S. attorney in the investigation.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino’s office has been subpoenaed by U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara for information related to campaign contributions.

Astorino said on a public radio program Monday that the county was cooperating with the subpoenas, according to an article at the Journal News.

The New York Post said the subpoenas concern dealings with people who backed Mayor Bill de Blasio and who have been linked to recent scandals.
