BCW Announces Formation of Economic Recovery Task Force
Task Force to Develop and Implement Strategic Plan for Assisting Businesses as the County's Economy Reemerges from Pandemic

RYE BROOK, NY (April 24, 2020) -- In recognition of the heavy toll the Covid-19 pandemic is taking on the economy of Westchester County, the Business Council of Westchester through its Coalition for Smart Development announced today the formation of the BCW Westchester Economic Recovery Task Force.
The Task Force is charged with the development and implementation of a strategic plan for providing coordinated assistance to businesses as the County’s economy reemerges from the unprecedented pandemic.
Members will include the leading real estate development companies who comprise the BCW’s Coalition for Smart Development, as well as representatives from key economic sectors including Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, Biotech, Tech, Higher Ed, Professional Services, Finance/Insurance, Transportation and Government.

Formed in 2018, the Coalition for Smart Development members include: Alfred Weissman Real Estate, Avalon Bay Communities, Biddle Real Estate Ventures, Collins Enterprises, Extell Development, Fareri Associates, G&S Investors, Ginsburg Development, Lennar Multifamily Communities, MacQuesten Development, Robert Martin Company, RPW Group, RXR Realty, Saber Realty Advisors, Simone Development and Wilder Balter Partners.

Working together and in coordination with our leaders in government, we are confident that The Westchester Economic Recovery Task Force can formulate a multifaceted action plan to get our great county back on its feet as quickly as possible.”

Gordon concluded: “The mission of the Task Force is fully consistent with the Business Council’s focus on economic development and advocacy. We are pleased to take the lead in organizing and coordinating this critically important effort.”
