'Best 100 Elementary Schools in New York' List Released

Niche.com has released rankings of public elementary schools across the country, and schools in the lower Hudson Valley fill the list of the top 100 in New York.

Niche says it ranked 40,403 schools nationwide based on key student statistics and 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 students and parents. A high ranking, according to Niche, indicates that a school “is an exceptional academic institution with a diverse set of high-achieving students and faculty, and the students are very happy with their experiences.”

Most of the Lower Hudson Valley schools (43 of 47) that ranked in the top 100 in the state are in Westchester County. None are in Putnam. Scarsdale and Edgemont schools dominate, with 6 of the top 11 slots.
