Best Places For Pizza In Hudson Valley

Who doesn't have a favorite pizza place? In know I do. In fact, I have a couple of favorites, depending on where I am on any given day in the Hudson Valley.

The editors at NewYorkUpstate.com came up with a list of restaurants singling out one pizza restaurant in each of the state's counties, in an article titled "62 Pizza Shops You Should Visit In New York, 1 For Each County."

"Are they the best in each county? Probably not, but that is to each person's personal taste to decide," NewYorkUpstate.com said.

You can find the entire list of 62 pizza places here, but the following are the best pizza restaurants in the mid- and lower Hudson Valley, as well as what the editors singled out as the best pie on the menu:

Columbia County: Oak Pizzeria Napolenta in Hudson

• Best pie — The Bianca

Dutchess County: Aloy's Restaurant in Poughkeepsie

• Best pie — All pizzas are epic

Orange County: Brother Bruno Pizza in Port Jervis

• Best pie — Taco Pizza

Putnam County: Gappy's Pizza in Carmel

• Best pie — Chicken Marsala Pizza

Rockland County: Agnello's in New City

• Best pie — Margherita Pizza

Ulster County: DiBella's Pizza Shop in Kingston

• Best pie — Any

Westchester County: Esposito's Ristorante and Pizzeria in White Plains

• Best pie —Bruschetta Pizza

In case you were wondering, Manhattan, which is New York County, and where there are pizza places on pretty much every block, the best place for a pie is John's Pizzeria in Times Square. But be prepared to order a whole pizza, because they don't serve slices.
