'Bicycle Sundays' Kicks Off Sunday In White Plains
This is the 43rd year 6.5 miles of the Bronx River Parkway is closed to vehicular traffic.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The 2017 Bicycle Sundays Season begins Sunday, May 7 at 10 a.m. Westchester Parks Foundation kicks off the first day of its 43rd annual program with its sponsors at the Westchester County Center, 198 Central Ave. in White Plains, at the Bronx River Parkway.
Every Sunday, bicyclists, skaters, joggers and walkers take over 6.5 miles of the Bronx River Parkway for their exclusive enjoyment.
The road segment that is closed to automobiles is from Exit 22 at the Westchester County Center to Exit 4 at Scarsdale Road i Yonkers.

Parking is available at the County Center lot in White Plains for $7.
The opening ceremony will feature Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino; Kathleen O’Connor, Commissioner, Westchester County Parks; Joe Stout, Executive Director, Westchester Parks Foundation; Jane Solnick, Westchester Public Affairs Director, Con Edison; Tim Hughes, Senior Vice President for Business Development, NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital; Lee and Darleen Gross, Chef Partners, Organic Pharmer; and Steve Kahn, Owner/President, Danny’s Cycles.
