Bloodhound Who Assisted White Plains Community Dies Unexpectedly

The bloodhound was a member of the Westchester County Police Force.

The bloodhound who helped find two missing beagles in White Plains in 2008 has died unexpectedly, the Journal News reports.

The nine-year-old bloodhound Seneca had served on the Westchester County Police force since she was a pup. According to the paper, the dog was taken ill a couple of days ago and died of an intestinal blockage.

Seneca assisted police with searches throughout the Lower Hudson Valley.
