Carmina Burana and Te Deum
Westchester Choral Society and Hudson Chorale join voices for two performances featuring over 100 vocalists and a 34-member orchestra on Friday, May 29 at 7 pm and Sunday May 31 at 3 pm.
In Carmina Burana, Carl Orff transforms medieval poetry into an exuberant journey through the vicissitudes of fortune, the beauties of spring, thrills of love, and scenes of ribald merriment. Its famous opening, “O Fortuna,” is sure to enthrall audiences with the power of our two choruses combined into one wall of sound.
We are excited to sing Antonin Dvorak’s Te Deum, a stirring drama combining exquisite solos and jubilant choruses. It premiered in New York in 1892, launching Dvorak’s American sojourn. (Listen for the sound of his ship crossing the ocean!)

Proceeds from the event will benefit HOW’s mission and commitment to providing compassionate end-of-life care. HOW combines the highest level of quality medical care with emotional and spiritual support, enabling individuals and their loved ones to make the most of each day.

This year’s Golf Invitational will honor The Hildegarde D. Becher Foundation for its 28 years of philanthropic support. Its donations and ongoing sponsorship of Hospice’s Annual Golf Invitational, In Celebration Gala Cocktail Reception, and Tree of Life have added to the overall success of these events as well as the organization as a whole.
