Cinco De Mayo Celebration Set In White Plains

The event will take place rain or shine.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Cinco de Mayo, hosted by the White Plains BID, will be celebrated from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 7. The free event will go on rain or shine in a large tent in downtown White Plains.

According to organizers, the event will feature mariachi music, Mexican folk dancing and a Latin crossover performance by Larger Than Life.

Sundance Kitchen will be serving authentic Mexican food. There will also be beverages a maraca-making table and live entertainment

The event will take place on Mamaroneck Avenue between East Post Road and Maple Avenue.

Those over 21 who plan to drink alcohol outside must purchase a $5 wristband at the entrance to the event. The first 250 people to buy a wristband will get a free sombrero and a chance to win a prize.
