Community Forum on Fire Safety and Prevention of Common Burns
free public program on improving safety in the home
The Woman's Club of White Plains is hosting a Community Forum on Fire Safety, the AED and Prevention of Common Household Burns on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 7 pm at the Woman's Club, 305 Ridgeway, White Plains. Members of the White Plains Fire Department will be on hand to discuss ways to make your home fire safe and how to plan in case of a fire. They will also be discussing the use of an AED (automated external defibrillator), a life saving device that is simple and effective. Finally, Thomas Rutan from Westchester Medical Center Burn Center will be discussing common household burns, how to prevent them and how to treat them if they do occur. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
