DONNA CHAMBERS "IMAGES IN FABRIC" at ETUI FIBER ARTS 2106 Boston Post Road, Larchmont Runs Through April 30th

Renowned jewelry designer/artist Donna Chambers' art show features 20 quilted works and her award winning "Yemaya Goddess of the Sea".

Donna Chambers, debuts her “Images in Fabric” quilted art show this month. Her quilt “Yemaya Goddess of the Sea” won Northern Star Quilters’ Guild 2014 BEST OF SHOW ribbon from the National Quilt Association. The work won accolades for its use of color and unusual top and bottom border treatment. “Donna Chambers has a unique gift in finding and combining fabric pieces that work magic for the beholder,” exclaims Caryl S. Castellion, President of Northern Star Quilters Guild.

Her new quilted cast of characters, include “Marvelous Martha” and “Camille”, who are featured in her ground breaking “Portrait series”. ”Her work is breathtaking! Donna Chambers has strong ties to Westchester as she was born and raised in Ossining and Elmsford, New York. Donna earned a degree in Fine Arts at Pratt Institute. She established Donna Chambers Designs in 1980 and successfully created and sold 14K gold jewelry that integrated precious stones and rare antique chips. She is also known as the proprietor of “That Old Black Magic” of White Plains, where her customers’ relished her keen “artist’s eye” and appreciation for heritage.
