42 the Restaurant, Westchester’s stunning restaurant perched atop The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, is introducing “Divertimento da Cozinha” (Kitchen Fun), a series of three Portuguese tasting menus. Each night a visiting chef and 42’s own Chef Anthony Goncalves will prepare a special Portuguese menu that will be paired with wines. Tasting event schedule:
Wednesday, October 19th at 7:00pm: Chef Luis Americo, visiting chef from Portugal, and Chef Goncalves will pay homage to modern Portuguese fare.
Wednesday, November 9th at 7:00pm: Chef Marco Gomes, visiting chef from Portugal, and Chef Goncalves collaborate on old world Portuguese fare.

Thursday December 1st at 7:00pm: Chef Marc Canora, visiting chef from Hearth in New York City and finalist in the new show Next Iron Chef joins Chef Goncalves for a “meatopia,” a celebration of meat. Chef Marco will work with natural Hampshire pork. Chef Goncalves will be working with 100% pure Iberico de Bellota pork. Josh Ozersky, food writer for Time Magazine and RachaelRay.com will be the evening host.
The “Divertimento da Cozinha” Tasting Menu is $125 per person, including wine pairings for each course. Taxes and gratuities are not included. For more information or to make reservations, please call (914) 761-4242.

The 200-seat restaurant on the 42nd floor of The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, is the concept of developer Louis Cappelli and Chef Anthony Goncalves. Offering New American cuisine, 42 presents a unique dining experience that melds traditional favorites with new and exciting world cuisine techniques. “42” is open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner from 5:00 p.m. Lunch is served Tuesday through Friday from noon to 3:00 p.m. Brunch is served Sunday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, and traditional afternoon tea service is offered on Sunday, from noon to 3:00 pm. A happy hour is offered in the bar every night from 5:00-6:30, featuring $1 oysters and $7 specialty cocktails. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.
