Five artists from the Metropolitan Opera of New York headline "An Evening of Opera, Spirituals and Broadway." They will sing a program of duets, solos and ensembles that will feature operatic arias, African-American spirituals and selections from Broadway.
The performers include Marvis Martin (soprano), Annette Lewis (mezzo soprano) of New Rochelle, Beverly Withers (soprano), Kenneth Floyd (baritone), and Raymond Aparentado (tenor)--all members of the Metropolitan Opera. They will be accompanied by David Leighton.
Proceeds from the concert will help support the scholarship program of the Beta Zeta Boule' Foundation (Westchester) for students from Westchester County.
