Are you 8 – 18? Do you want to be on Stage? Macy's Yes Virginia, the Musical prepares for a limited engagement this holiday season, the show's producers have announced that they will begin their search for young actors. An open audition for children between the ages of 8-18 will be held on Sunday Sept 30th at Rising Stars Performing Arts Company Studio. You must register to audition by calling 914 613-7985 first, and then children will be seen from 2:00pm-4:00pm

Casting directors are seeking to fill ensemble roles;and some leads, children should be extraordinary actors, singers, and dancers.Those auditioning should prepare a brief, rhythmic, classic Broadway song that shows off voice and personality. Bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided but may not transpose. Please bring a photo and resume. Boys voices should be unchanged.

Yes Virginia, The Musical! begins rehearsals in Yonkers, NY at Rising Stars Studio beginning on Thursday October 4th. and will be continue every Thursday from 6-8pm,and Sundays from 1-5pm.
The production will run from December 10, 2012 – December 21, 2012.

Macy's Yes Virginia, The Musical and JWT contributed to the pop culture that surrounds Christmas when in 2009 they launched "Yes Virginia," an award-winning animated special produced out of The Ebeling Group that illustrated the tale of a young girl who wrote to The New York Sun wondering if there really was a Santa Claus. The paper's editor Francis P. Church responded to her with a moving piece about the importance of believing. The retailer now invites children around the country to become part of that story, with the launch of "Yes, Virginia, The Musical,".

“Yes, Virginia” was created and produced by Macy’s and JWT in conjunction with The Ebeling Group and MEC Entertainment, a division of Mediaedge:cia. “Yes, Virginia The Musical” was adapted from the animated special and storybook by Chris Plehal, by Wesley Whatley (music) and William Schermerhorn (book and lyrics), the Emmy® Award-winning creative team behind the original song “Yes, Virginia (There is a Santa Claus).” “Yes, Virginia The Musical” received its world premiere at Stagedoor Manor, the world-renowned theater camp located in Loch Sheldrake, NY. The latest addition to Macy's ongoing "Believe" holiday show Yes Virginia,The Musical will be Directed and Choreographed by Laura A Rizzo with Musical Direction by Michelle DeAngelis, and Stage Manged by Chris Riva.

Annie is not the only kiddie musical this holiday season and Yes Virginia, The Musical! is sure to break records.
