CD Release Concert & New Project Kick-off

New York-based jazz pianist & composer Takeshi Asai has enjoyed his highly established international career, that includes Europe, Asia and his new home the U.S. This particular event is presented to the New York audience to join the celebration of his new CD “A Tale of Three Cities,” the album featuring the live recordings of his latest tour in France, Japan and New York. (Faust Harrison Pianos provided the pianos and it’s Manhattan show room.)

Also, this is a kick-off of his new New York jazz trio right before his departure to France for the summer concerts. The whole concert will be recorded by Grammy winning recording engineer Silas Brown of Legacy Sound for a future CD.

In addition to his performing career as a pianist, he has been engaged in numbers of projects as a composer. The recent portfolio includes a full-scaled Broadway opera called “Hunger,” a theater production called “Princess Kaguya” and a two-piano composition for the Long Duo, which was premiered in the International Piano Festival in South Carolina in September 2011. He has also published numbers of digital & electric music for films and visual arts.

Currently, he lives in Westchester with his wife.
