Celebremos!
Come to the Hispanic Heritage Festival on Sunday, July 22 and join in Westchester’s largest community event celebrating Latin America. Festivities will run from 12 noon-7 p.m. at Kensico Dam Plaza, Valhalla.
Enjoy a day of live music and entertainment, children's games, arts and crafts and vendor booths offering jewelry, clothing and other merchandise. Give salsa dancing a try and sample a variety of dishes from Mexican tacos to Caribbean-style pulled pork to Colombian arepas. You can also learn about the programs and services offered by more than two dozen non-profit agencies.
Almost 15,000 people attended last year’s event, which brought together representatives from 22 Spanish-speaking countries. The event and parking are FREE.
The event is sponsored by Westchester County Parks and Alianza Latina (El Centro Hispano, Hispanic Resource Center, Neighbors Link, United Community Center, Westchester Hispanic Coalition). Westchester Hispano, Brady & Goldberg, Wells Fargo, El Aguila, the Journal News and News 12 are also sponsors.
