Westchester Community College is hosting a poets & Writers series of lectures November through May.
George Wallace will present Walt Whitman, Woody Guthrie and Beyond--Fanfares for the Common Man. He will speak at 12:30 pm and again at 2:30 pm.
'Wallace celebrates the notion of the common man championed by Rousseau, Wordsworth and Walt Whitman. Works by Emerson, Thoreau, Steinbeck, Guthrie and others will be examined. Wallace teaches English and Literature at Pace University in Manhattan and has written 19 chapbooks of poetry."
