Westchester Community College is hosting a poets & Writers series of lectures November through May.
Timuel Black will speak at 12:30 pm and again at 2:30 pm.
"A Chicago native, Timuel Black is a highly respected educator, civil rights activist, writer, community leader , and historian. In the 1960's, he served as an adviser to Martin Luther King, Jr. Black's book, Bridges of Memory: Chicago's First Wave of Great Migration chronicles African-American migration to Chicago. This year, Black will celebrate his 92nd birthday."
