FASNY: Unoccupy North Street

Hundreds protest proposed FASNY development in White Plains in Gedney Farms neighborhood.

Residents from all over White Plains assembled at 10:30 am on a brisk Saturday morning 4/25/15 to protest the proposed mega-school regional FASNY campus with its entrance directly across North Street from the White Plains High School entrance. Signs saying, “ Stop FASNY Now” “White Plains School Children Matter” “Common Council: Don’t Sell Out White Plains” among others were visible along North Street as cars slowed down and beeped in support of the rally.

Where was News 12? This is as local as local news gets.

Hopefully, the Mayor and Common Council members listen to their electorate, the White Plains School Board who vigorously oppose FASNY in White Plains, the numerous neighborhood associations who have come out against the development as well as independent traffic experts who have publicly spoken against the impact FASNY would have in White Plains.
