Name Released Of Woman Killed In Early Morning Crash: UPDATE

The accident occurred on I-287 in the City of White Plains.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — State police have released the identity of the person killed in an early morning crash on I-287 in White Plains Oct. 29. Patricia Jimenez-Gaylor, 49, of Mamaroneck, died as a result of a three-car accident.

Police said she was driving a 2018 Nissan SUV east in the left land of I-287 about 1:27 a.m. Monday.

For unknown reasons, she rear-ended a 1991 Ford F550 truck, operated by David J. Arndt, 49, of Carmel, which was stopped in the left lane near a construction project.

Jimenez-Gaylor was pronounced dead at the scene. Arndt was treated for minor injuries at the scene and was released.

During the accident, which is still under investigation, Arndt's vehicle was pushed forward by the impact into another construction vehicle. Its operator was not injured.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — An early morning accident is under investigation after one person was killed. State police said, around 1:27 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, troopers responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident on the eastbound side of I-287 in the City of White Plains.

The preliminary investigation at the scene found that one of the drivers was dead and the other suffered minor injuries.

Police are withholding the name of the deceased person pending notification of family.

More information will be released as it becomes available, authorities said.
