Former Harrison Athlete Found Dead

He had recently completed a drug rehab program, and was living in a halfway house in White Plains.

The Journal News reports that John DeFonce, 20, was found dead Sunday at his parents’ home.

A former football player at Harrison High School, DeFonce had taken prescription painkillers and then become addicted to heroin, TJN reported. He had recently completed a substance abuse treatment program in Putnam County and was living in a halfway house in White Plains.
