The Friends of White Plains Hospital will host their next meeting and presentation on Monday, October 17th at 9:30am in the White Plains Hospital Auditorium. This meeting is open to the public, and the Friends encourage both men and women interested in becoming part of the exciting future of White Plains Hospital to join us!

The Friends of White Plains Hospital are dedicated to supporting the Hospital, its patients and the community through awareness, service, and fundraising. Their group or more than 800 dedicated individuals is an integral part of the Hospital culture and community, and contribute to promoting the Hospital’s overall mission of providing exceptional health care, every day.

The Friends run the annual Hospital Gala in the fall and an annual Game Night event in the spring, as well as several events through their Junior Board, made up of local high school students.

The October 17th meeting will have a brief business component, followed by presentations by President & CEO Susan Fox on the state of the Hospital with a specific focus on Pediatrics. Dr. Rafael Torres, Director of Emergency Services, will also present. An open tour of the Hospital’s Pediatric areas will follow.

White Plains Hospital offers a full range of Pediatric services, from the birth experience in Labor & Delivery and our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to 24-hour emergency and inpatient care. Nearly 650 children are hospitalized in our Inpatient program annually, and WPH is currently working on plans for a new pediatric wing to better serve pediatric patients in a more comfortable and exclusive manner. The Friends are fully invested in this fundraising effort and are looking for new members to join us for more information on these services and to become a part of creating the pediatric unit of the future that will benefit all children in our community.
