G.O.O.D. For Girls Cancels Career Expo At Pace University
The White Plains non-profit mentoring program said some parents and expo participants expressed concern because of the coronavirus outbreak.
PLEASANTVILLE, NY — G.O.O.D. for Girls has canceled its second Annual Career Fair and Expo which was scheduled for March 14 at Pace University.
Concerns about coronavirus voiced by some parents and workshop facilitators and two exhibitors choosing not to participate led to the decision, officials said.
G.O.O.D. for Girls, Inc., a community nonprofit that mentors young girls, was to have kicked off its 10th anniversary celebration with its second annual Career Fair & Expo for Girls: Visionary Women – Learning, Leading, Lifting! Launched in White Plains in 2010, GfG provides long-term one-to-one and group mentoring to girls who are accepted into the program from ages 9 -13 and generally remain in the program through age 18.
