Greenburgh Central Names Dr. Tahira DuPree Chase Superintendent of Schools

The Greenburgh Central School District has appointed Dr. Tahira Dupree Chase as the permanent Superintendent of Schools for the school system, removing the interim designation she has held since 2014.

Officials made the announcement Tuesday at a program for school faculty, according to Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner, who praised the appointment.

“I have had the opportunity to work with Dr. Chase and her team on an architect/engineering mentoring program for students. We discussed the program last December and by January the program was up and running!” wrote Feiner in a statement.

He added that the school district has been proactive in “looking at shared service opportunities to save taxpayer dollars. Am very impressed with the innovations taking place at the school district and the dedication and passion for education among educators who work in the school district.”
