Hazardous Weather Outlook: White Plains' Weekend
Rain, sleet falling around White Plains before a turnaround on Sunday.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The wintry mix followed by lots of rain in this current storm has led the National Weather Service to issue a Hazardous Weather Outlook for southern Westchester County.
And there is also a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. Saturday. High tides could be 2 to 2-1/2 feet above normal.
But there is some good news for Friday: the snow line is well to the north of us.

"Greene and Columbia counties are the only locations where the mid levels look likely to support wet snow through the day… but there, surface temperatures will be a problem near the river," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.
But with highs staying mired in the 30s, it certainly won't feel like spring — and even the lower Hudson Valley could see some sleet overnight.
