How Warm Will Friday Be In The Hudson Valley?

It's going to be moderately hot outside after a little rain.

It looks as if the Hudson Valley may be skipping straight to June — at least as far as temperatures are concerned. Friday could start off rainy (sounds like April) but then the wind will shift.

"By mid morning on Friday, the southerly winds should really increase… and the warmth will flood into the Hudson Valley," said Hudson Valley Weather. "Friday afternoon should see a warm wind, and a good deal of sunshine."

Just how hot will it get? Take your pick. In Mount Kisco it could get up to 74 degrees F according to the National Weather Service, or even reach 77 according to the Weather Channel.

Of course, while it's doing that here, heavy snow, blizzard conditions, severe thunderstorms and tornadoes will begin showing up in the central United States. And in upstate New York, a significant buildup of ice may occur, says Alex Sosnowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist.

And don't put the sweaters away yet. Temps are expected to drop 20 degrees on Sunday. Look for a detailed weekend forecast Friday on your local Hudson Valley Patch.
