ITT Names Mary Beth Gustafsson as General Counsel

ITT Corporation announced it has appointed Mary Beth Gustafsson as general counsel, reporting to Denise Ramos, ITT’s chief executive officer and president.

In this role, Gustafsson will serve as legal advisor for the company and will be a member of the ITT leadership team. She will lead ITT’s legal function globally, providing oversight of all legal and litigation matters, corporate governance, compliance and corporate responsibility.

Gustafsson, 54, formerly was general counsel and secretary and chief compliance officer for First Solar, a renewable energy company. She previously held senior legal leadership positions at Trane Inc. (formerly American Standard Companies Inc.), including general counsel and secretary, as well as at Honeywell International Inc.

“Mary Beth is a strong leader who has broad experience with diverse, global manufacturing environments,” Ramos said. “Her demonstrated expertise in overseeing strategic business transactions, leading global compliance programs and managing both business unit and corporate legal teams will bring meaningful benefits to ITT as we continue to enhance our capabilities and grow our business globally.”
