K-9 Vinn Leads Troopers To Over 1,500 Grams Fentanyl In 'Trap Compartment' On The Hutch: NYSP
The sole occupant of the vehicle is now facing felony charges after troopers got a little help from a nosy police dog.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Troopers took a significant stash of potentially deadly drugs off the streets, thanks in part to an assist from a four-legged colleague in blue.
The New York State Police say that on Thursday, around 1:53 p.m., troopers from the Troop K Community Stabilization Unit, along with the NYSP Special Investigations Unit, stopped a vehicle traveling south on the Hutchinson River Parkway, in the City of White Plains, for traffic violations.

After an exterior sniff of the vehicle, NYSP K-9 Vinn alerted troopers to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle found "an aftermarket, electronically operated hidden compartment" concealing over 1,500 grams of fentanyl.
The driver and only occupant of the car, whose name was not given, was arrested and charged with felony first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (intent to sell).

The driver was arraigned in the Town of Greenburgh Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail.
