Landlord To Face Jail Time For Building Violations
The judge also imposed a fine for the landlord's violations.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A White Plains landlord, who has been described by building officials as a "serial code violator," could be facing time in jail. Jaime Reyes was sentenced to five days in county jail along with a $10,000 fine.
He pleaded guilty March 20 to violations at 7 Charles St., which is one of three properties he owns, the Journal News said.
Among the violations were replacing disconnected gas lines with rented 80-pound propane tanks and illegal apartments.

This is the first time White Plains has sought jail time for a landlord, the Journal News said.
