He issued two executive orders shortly after taking office.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A swearing-in ceremony was held Monday for Westchester county executive. Rye Democrat George Latimer took over the office after besting incumbent Republican Robert Astorino in November.
Latimer quickly issued two executive orders that give local municipalities more input on projects that involve county and and keep not only his name and likeness but those of his predecessors off county signs, the Journal News said.
He also asked the state comptroller to do a fiscal review of the county’s procedures and policies.
