Mayor Thomas Roach Announces Community Yoga Event
The City of White Plains and White Plains Hospital are once again excited to present an evening of outdoor yoga on Wednesday, June 22.

White Plains, NY – May 25, 2016. The benefits of yoga for mind, body and spirit have been well established. Whether you have been thinking about starting a yoga practice and want to find out what it’s all about, or are an experienced yogi looking to practice with a dynamic and unique teacher, Outdoor Yoga on Court Street is for you.
The City of White Plains and White Plains Hospital are once again excited to present an evening of outdoor yoga on Wednesday, June 22. The event will take place on Court Street (between Main Street and Martine Avenue) in the heart of the downtown. Check in will begin at 6:00 p.m. and Yoga at 7:00 p.m. To register, call (914) 422-1336 or email registration@whiteplainsny.gov. The rain date for the event is Wednesday, June 29.

Returning this year to lead the class is White Plains’ own Patty Holmes, owner of the Yoga Garden. Patty has been a student of yoga since 1974 and a teacher of yoga since 1998. She is nationally certified at the Advanced Level. Patty is also the Anatomy and Breath Clinic Coordinator at the Breathing Project in New York City where she has continued her study of yoga and yoga anatomy with well-known instructor Leslie Kaminoff. The Yoga Garden is located at 82 Prospect Street (St. Bartholomew’s Church) in White Plains. For more information please visit here.
