NEW! Senior Learn-to-Swim Class @ YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester

The YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester offers a swim class specifically designed for senior citizens.

• Who: Seniors (ages 65 and over)
• Why? Overcome your fears of water, stay healthy and keep active, set goals, and learn in a supportive environment.
• Session Dates: September 16 – December 23, 2015
• Day: Wednesday
• Time: 12:00pm
• Fee: $308 for YWCA members; $378 for non-members

Our six-lane heated pool is twenty-five yards long. Students learn how to swim in the shallow sections of the pool with our American Red Cross Certified aquatics instructors. We are dedicated to teaching water safety and skills to seniors. Instructors work with swimmers at all levels to accomplish individual goals. This senior beginner swim class is designed to help participants gain basic aquatics skills and swimming strokes, including the front crawl, breaststroke and elementary backstroke.
