No Guns Shows At County Center, Per Latimer Transition

Ken Jenkins said Astorino wasn't going to sign off on a contract.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The transition team for Westchester County Executive-elect George Latimer said there will not be a gun show at the county center in January. Transition co-chairman Ken Jenkins told FIOS1 News that outgoing County Executive Robert Astorino will not sign off on a contract allowing a gun show to be held, due to Latimer’s objections.

The gun show had become an issue during the campaign, FIOS1 News said.

The county Legislature voted in January to ban gun shows on county property, but Astorino vetoed it.
