Number Of Active Coronavirus Cases Down In Westchester
More than 16 percent of the county's population has been tested for the new coronavirus.
WHITE PLAINS, NY — Westchester County Executive George Latimer released the latest new- coronavirus-related numbers at his daily news conference Tuesday. To date, there are 33,633 confirmed cases of the virus in the county.
Of that number, there are now 1,231 active cases, meaning those individuals who have not yet recovered from the infection.
Latimer said the number of active cases is much reduced from the peak more than seven weeks ago.

There have been 1,378 deaths, with four fatalities from overnight.
More than 165,000 county residents have been tested for the coronavirus. Latimer said that represents 16.5 percent of the county's population.
