Puck — Paws Crossed Pet Of The Week

This 9-month-old Plott Hound/Mountain Cur mix came from a high-kill shelter.

ELMSFORD, NY — Puck, a 9-month-old Plott Hound/Mountain Cur mix, that came to Paws Crossed from a high-kill shelter in the south, is this week’s pet of the week.

“Puck is the sweetest pup,” said Scott Salant, dog manager and behaviorist for Paws Crossed. “His is still very young and sometimes his high energy does not show well in his kennel, as is true with most dogs, to be honest.”

“Once he is out of his kennel, in a more natural setting, he is a completely different dog,” he said. “He is the perfect companion. He loves his exercise, but he is also a big couch potato.”
