Rally To End Gun Violence Set For White Plains
Speakers include state and local representative, as well as gun violence survivors.
WHITE PLAINS, NY — A rally to end gun violence is being planned for White Plains. According to organizers, in response to the recent mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, Dayton, Ohio, and Gilroy, California, Moms Demand Action, in conjunction with Students Demand Action and the Everytown Survivor Network, the August Recess Rally will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at White Plains City Hall.
The rally will be one of hundreds across the county, organizers said.
The purpose of the rally is to call attention to the U.S. Senate's inaction on common sense gun laws, including the bipartisan background check bill and a national red flag bill.
