Rockettes To Honor White Plains Man For Spreading Holiday Cheer

There will be 11 presentations throughout the tri-state region.

VALHALLA, NY — This fall, the Radio City Rockettes are recognizing New York-area fans who spread joy to their local communities. Just as the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes brings holiday cheer to millions of people every year, these fans were selected because they bring joy to others in their communities.

As a part of their “Gift of Joy” program, the Rockettes will celebrate these individuals at 11 locations across the tri-state area and present them with special gift packages, including tickets to opening night of the Christmas Spectacular and Christmas Spectacular merchandise.

These visits are open to the public.

On Sept. 21, between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., Matthew Welling of White Plains will be honored at Village Creamery & Sweet Shop in Valhalla. The shop is located at 32 Broadway.

The 2017 production of the Christmas Spectacular, which runs from Nov. 10 to Jan. 1, features stunning Rockettes dance numbers, magnificent costumes and state-of-the-art technology. The Radio City Rockettes are a legendary dance company and have been a part of the fabric of New York City for decades.

Since their debut in the Christmas Spectacular in 1933, the Rockettes have danced into the hearts of millions and spread Christmas cheer to people of all ages, according to a spokeswoman. Their precision technique continues to inspire fans of all ages and their talent and athleticism is unrivaled.
