Savor Westchester Coming to White Plains

Simon, a global leader in retail real estate, announced plans today to dramatically reinvent its food offerings at The Westchester with the debut of Savor Westchester, a fresh and contemporary dining and event destination which will feature seven different, enticing dining options. Construction has already begun on the multi-million dollar transformation and is slated for completion at Holiday 2016.

Loyal and new Westchester shoppers alike will be treated to an incredible dining experience featuring an eclectic array of some of Manhattan’s most popular and notable casual dining hot spots. Savor Westchester will have seven new eateries, 325 seats, and a brand-new outdoor al fresco dining terrace where guests can enjoy dining while overlooking downtown White Plains. To complement the new dining experience, Savor Westchester will also include a children’s play area, demonstration kitchen, an entertainment and technology lounge, and Concierge Services adjacent to the dining. The overall space has been carefully curated to provide an exceptional dining and social experience in a stunning new environment.

We are excited to share details of our vision and who is coming in the near future.” Martindale said the former food court is closed for construction at this time but shoppers can still find dining and lite bite options at Mariposa at Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom Café, PF Chang’s, Chef’s Table, Starbucks, and Auntie Anne’s.

Savor Westchester is part of a major transformation currently taking place at The Westchester that will touch virtually every surface of the interior and exterior of the property. That work is expected to be completed by November 1.

Highlights of the mall renovation include:

• New, more spacious soft seating areas and complimentary charging stations.
• Modernized elevators and lobbies.
• New flooring featuring natural stone tile and carpeting throughout.
• Contemporary updates of exterior vehicular entry facades and key mall entrances.
• New and improved interior and exterior signage and a fresh array of landscaping elements throughout the center.
• Upgraded valet entrances with new tile floors in the valet lobby, upgraded lighting, an enhanced valet booth and a new stamped concrete driveway.
• Cosmetic improvements and new energy efficient LED-lighting in the parking garages and mall interior as well as enhanced vehicular entries and way-finding signage.
• Upgraded men’s and women’s restroom facilities, including enriched finishes, fixtures and lighting.

“The transformation of Savor Westchester will complement the enhancements we’re making throughout the property to meet the high expectations of our guests,” added Martindale. “A majority of the work will be performed to minimize interference or customer inconvenience during the mall’s regular operating hours.”
