Schnurmacher Center Offically Renamed Martine Center

First Centers Health Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility To Serve Westchester County Residents

The nursing and rehabilitation facility located on Tibbets Avenue in White Plains that was once known as Schnurmacher Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, is now known at Martine Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. CenterLight Health System from the Bronx had been the corporate entity that ran this large attractive 225 certified bed facility, now the newly named Martine Center is part of the Centers Health Care family, with its corporate headquarters also in the Bronx.

Yesterday, Westchester County Robert P. Astorino proclaimed March 1, 2017 as Martine Center Recognition Day with a proclamation given to Centers Health Care. Although there are more than 30 Centers Health Care nursing and rehabilitation facilities extending throughout the northeast in New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island, the Martine Center is the first facility in the Centers Health Care family now serving Westchester County residents.

The Martine Center participates in Medicare and Medicaid and it is designed for those who no longer require hospitalization, but still need therapeutic care to continue the healing process. The facility offers a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, nutritionists, rehabilitation therapists, social workers, and other health care professionals providing patients and residents with personalized individual care, geared to regain an independent lifestyle.
